KONTEKS.CO.ID - Acara penghargaan MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 berlangsung pada 13 November 2022, Minggu malam waktu setempat di PSD Bank Dome Dusseldorf, Jerman.
MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 merupakan ajang penghargaan yang tidak hanya dipersembahkan untuk musisi dari Eropa, tetapi juga musisi dari Asia, Amerika, hingga Afrika. Salah satunya NIKI asal Indonesia yang raih nominasi Best Asia Act.
Beberapa musisi dan band seperti Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, Muse, One Republic, Taylor Swift hadir di acara MTV Europe Music Awards 2022, yang dipandu oleh Rita Ora dan Taika Waititi.
Dalam kesempatan ini, Taylor Swift berhasil memboyong tiga piala sekaligus untuk kategori Best Video, Best Artist dan Best longform. Sedangkan Best Song sendiri dimenangkan oleh Nicki Minaj dengan lagunya Super Freaky Girl.
Selain itu, salah satu penyanyi asal Indonesia yakni NIKI masuk dalam nominasi Best Asia Act. NIKI bersaing boyband K-Pop Tomorrow X Together, The Rampage from Exile (Jepang), Maymay Entrata (Filipina), dan Silvy (Thailand).
